1. We’ve never had family photos taken before. What can we expect? A photo session with me is pretty laid-back. We’ll chat before your session and roughly plot out how the session will go. I’ll guide you on choosing a couple of activities to capture while I’m there. Examples would be favorite games that you play, your reading nook, being in the kitchen, etc. Anything goes! Newborn sessions can include things like getting baby dressed, bathed, nursing, cuddling, sleeping, etc. Sessions will take place in your home and can include time indoors and outdoors.

  2. How long will my session be? This depends on the session type you choose. I currently offer 1 and 2 hour options for family photos. Newborn sessions are typically 60-90 minutes. If you are interested in adding more time to your shoot, let’s chat!

  3. What should I wear? The most important thing is that you are comfortable! The main focus of our time together will be for me to capture the connection you have with your family. That means you should be able to play on the floor, snuggle up on the couch and do all of the things you normally would. We’ll chat in more detail during our pre-session phone call as the specifics will depend on what activities we have planned.

  4. What if my kids have a meltdown and don’t cooperate? I’ve got you. When I’m not doing photo sessions and taking care of my toddler, I’m a pediatric physical therapist. Which means I’ve seen every type of meltdown you can imagine. We’ll give them more time to warm up, extra cuddles, lots of distraction, whatever is needed!

  5. Do you offer physical products in addition to digital files? You betcha! I’m a big believer in getting images off of our hard drives and displaying them in our homes. Every year, we make an album for our son with pictures of our family. He gets more excited to look through them the older he gets. I’d love to help you create the same thing for your family!

  6. We’re totally on board with creating candid, authentic photos in our home! What’s next? Woohoo! Hit that “Book a Session” button at the top right! I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. A 50% deposit is due to reserve your date and the remainder of your balance is due the day of our shoot. We’ll have a phone call before that to chat about the details of our time together. After your session, you’ll receive your digital files via an online gallery and a huge thank you from me!!
