Hey guys! I wanted to take a minute and share with y’all what’s in my camera bag and a little bit of insight into how that gear helps me create my images.
1: Canon 5d mark iii. This camera is a full on workhouse and I love it. This and my iPhone are pretty much the only two cameras I use.
2: Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 This is on my camera 90% of the time. I use this lens for almost all of my images taken indoors because I’m still able to include some of the environment while shooting in smaller rooms. If you want to invite me to your huge mansion to take pictures, I can switch it up. ;)
3: Canon 50mm f/1.4 . I loooove shooting with this lens outdoors as it produces beautiful bokeh (that blurry background goodness) and lately I’ve been experimenting with using it to freelens. PS: Your pets deserve portraits too!
4. Lensbaby Velvet 56. I was interested in photography long before I became a mama, and loved taking pictures of food. I love the creativity that the Velvet 56 offers. It is a macro lens which is great for food and nature as well as itty bitty newborn details!
5. Lensbaby Edge 80. Both of my Lensbabies have manual focus only so I don’t use them on my son too much. I really like this lens for landscapes and sun flare, especially if I need to break out of a creative rut.
I hope that helped to give you a peek into my camera bag! If you’re interested in receiving my monthly newsletter, including photo tips, click here.
